the need

Every day around the globe,
39,000 girls are forced into early marriage.
That is 27 girls per minute.

MISSION

Faces for Hope empowers Maasai girls
through relationship, discipleship and education
so that they have the freedom to dream of futures
beyond exploitation as child brides.

My name is Janeth

My name is Janeth Karaine.  I am a 12 year old Maasai girl from the bush of Engikaret, Tanzania.  My family is very poor.  My father is against education, but my mother begged for me to go to school.  I was able to go to a good Primary school, until I lost my sponsor.  If my father found out that I did not have a sponsor anymore, he would sell me.  In my culture, if a girl my age is not in school, she must get married.  I do not want to get married.  I want to continue in school.

Thank you and Bless you, Janeth

Why Have A PlaceHolder Card?

FacesForHope has seen so many incredible things happen this year.
Within weeks of returning home from Africa this January, all 50 of the new girls that we brought home to find sponsors for, were sponsored.
We believe that God is behind this.

On top of that, our team in Tanzania wants to branch out even further into Maasai Land in the coming year.
Many more girls need help.
